“Longevity” (lifespan) is a broad research field, and the peptides that fall under it act at very different points. Instead of cramming everything into one long text, this page is an overview (hub): for each theme we briefly explain what is going on and link to the separate pillar with the details. Important upfront: it is always about what the research shows in cell and animal models, not about promises for humans.

What do researchers mean by “ageing”?

Ageing is not a single process but a sum: cells accumulate damage, the energy metabolism declines, immunity and hormones shift, and the day-night rhythm becomes less sharp. Longevity research studies molecules that act on one or more of those processes. The peptides thus fall into a few clear groups.

Bioregulators & pineal peptides

From the Russian Khavinson tradition comes a group of ultra-short peptides said to steer gene expression. The best known are epitalon (pineal, telomerase research), thymalin (thymus, immune ageing) and pinealon (neuroprotection). The broader framework is in bioregulators & Khavinson peptides.

Redox & cellular energy

Much ageing research revolves around the cell's power plants (mitochondria) and around the balance between oxidation and antioxidation (redox). This includes NAD⁺ and glutathione (covered together in NAD+ and glutathione), plus the mitochondrial peptides such as MOTS-c and SS-31 (elamipretide).

Cytoprotection & senolysis

Another angle focuses on protecting cells against stress, or precisely on clearing away “aged” cells. Humanin is studied as a stress-resistance signal, while FOXO4-DRI is investigated as a “senolytic” — a molecule aimed at removing senescent cells.

Sleep & circadian rhythm

Because the day-night rhythm changes with age, the circadian angle also belongs here: melatonin as a clock hormone and the broader group sleep peptides.

Quality & purity

Every relevant batch is independently HPLC-tested by an external laboratory; the CoA is publicly verifiable per batch. See also why we rejected a batch.

Frequently asked questions

What are longevity peptides?
A collective name for molecules studied in ageing research — from bioregulators and redox molecules to cytoprotective and circadian peptides. Solely for laboratory research.

Are these anti-ageing agents?
No. They are research substances. The effects come from cell and animal models and are attributed to those studies, not to use by humans. Peplife makes no health claims.

What do NAD+ and glutathione have to do with ageing?
Both are central to the redox balance and energy metabolism of cells, which receive much attention in ageing research. See the separate hub NAD+ and glutathione.

What is a senolytic?
A molecule aimed at clearing away “aged” (senescent) cells. FOXO4-DRI is investigated in that context.

May I use these peptides?
No. All longevity peptides are intended solely for in-vitro laboratory research (RUO), not for human or animal use.
